- Him: I don't speak English. I speak American.
- Everyone: -uncertain chuckles-
- Him: What's so funny about that?
- Kid: ...American isn't a language. It's like a dialect of English.
- Him: Don't be ridiculous. This is America and I speak American. You want to speak English? Go to England.
- We all wished he was joking.
